Treaty Oak Revival fans were excited about tonight’s first Cheyenne Frontier Days Night Show, and a recap of today’s events

Cheyenne Frontier Days officially kicked off its festivities today for the 130th Daddy of ‘Em All. With a special dedication of the brand new Morning Star American Indian Village earlier this morning, the first day of the PRCA Rodeo, the opening of the Carnival Midway, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight, and the first Night Show with Treaty Oak Revival and Jessie Murph tonight.

The son of Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo legend and award-winning country musician, the late Chris LeDoux’s son, Ned LeDoux, is one of this year’s Lincoln Cheyenne headliners with local musician, Gabe Jackson, and his band as Ned’s opener.

Ned is a talented musician all on his own. He sings his father’s songs as well as many of his own major country hits. He sounds a lot like his dad, too, which is a wonderful gift that he is able to keep that rodeo and country music family legacy alive.

According to his official Facebook page: “Country singer Drew Baldridge and Christian singer Anne Wilson have a new song out, together! The two just released “Maker’s Mark.” The song is part of Baldridge’s upcoming ‘FARM FAITH FAMILY’ album, out on September 18.

“‘Maker’s Mark’ is one of my favorite songs on the record,” Baldridge says on his Facebook page. “At its core, it’s about the legacy a person leaves behind. That means loving others, giving back, and living with purpose and compassion. The 130th Cheyenne Frontier Days starts this Friday July 17th

“Here’s what to know before you go according to Cheyenne Frontier Days’ website:

Before you head to Frontier Park, here are a few tips to make your visit as smooth as possible.

  • All Rodeo and Frontier Nights tickets include gate admission.
  • A $25 Gate Admission Season Pass gives you access all 10 days, including Old Frontier Town, the Morning Star American Indian Village, and the Carnival Midway.
  • Traveling separately? Be sure to transfer your AXS tickets before you arrive.
  • Frontier Park is cashless. Credit and debit cards are accepted throughout the park. Some independent vendors may still accept cash.
  • Download the AXS app and have your digital tickets ready before you reach the gates.
  • Save time by using Park n Ride at I 25 and Missile Drive.
  • Lockers are available for daily or 10 day rental.
  • Buckaroo Patrol offers free ID wristbands for children at The Garden and Hynds Entry.

Lots of non-profits are looking for the community’s help for donations to overcome costs otherwise they’re unable to do on their own.

Cheyenne will be celebrating America’s 250th birthday on the Fourth of July with a lot of events

On the Fourth of July, Downtown Cheyenne will be the place to be with a host of events for all ages for the Capital City Celebration America’s 250th.

From a 9 a.m. downtown parade to music, speakers, shows activities, tours and food all day.

At 1 p.m. is the America’s 250th Ceremony on the Capital Steps with the Wyoming National Guard 67th Army Band, a the National Anthem a C-130 Hercules Flyover, and Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon will give a speech and introduce dignitary speeches. presentation of the colors. Day and night-long performers include the Wind River Dancers on the Capital steps at noon, Reesie Rae at 3:30 pm on the lawn stage, Las Angelitas Unidas Y Los Rayos Del Sol at 4:30 p.m. on the lawn stage, Missy Jo at 6:30 p.m. Jaland Crossland starts performing at 7:30 p.m. and the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra will do a Patriotic Concert at 8:30 p.m. on the Capital Stage with a fireworks finale starting at 9:40 p.m. over the Wyoming State Capitol Building.
