July 28th, 2017, Cheyenne Frontier Days hosted Jason DeRulo with special guest Flo Rida. Loveland, Colorado’s 96.1 KISS FM’s radio disc jockeys mc’d the night.
KISS FM started the show off with five contestants performing a lip syncing contest The winner got to meet Jason DeRulo after the show.
It is not Cheyenne Frontier Days without rain showers happening at the event. And this year the weather did not disappoint. The rain cooled off the air, but did not cool off the excitement of the crowd, even with Flo Rida starting late, due to unforeseen circumstances. Flo Rida was definitely worth the wait. Due to the weather, the U.S. Navy Leap Frogs, cancelled their spectacular night demonstration that was scheduled to be performed between the two musical acts.
Jason DeRulo is an American singer, songwriter and dancer. His music is pop with a heavy influence of R&B and hip hop. He has produced over 10 Top 10 singles and four number one hits including, “In My Head”, “Don’t Wanna Go Home”, “Talk Dirty” and “Want to Want Me”. It turns out that Jason really enjoys country music. He recently won the 2017 CMT award for best CMT Performance. Jason is now embarking on a country music project, that he is remaining quiet about. Flo Rida is an American rapper, hip-hop artist and songwriter. He has produced five number one hits including his break out song “Low” that stayed at the number one position for 10 weeks in a row.
