Cheyenne Frontier Days Night Show on July 27th, 2017 featured Thomas Rhett with special guests Dan +Shay.
Thomas Rhett is an American Country and Western singer and songwriter. He is definitely not new to the world of country music as he is the son of country star Rhett Akins. He has produced several number 1 singles including “It Goes Like This” and “Star of the Show”. Thomas has written songs for Jason Aldean, Lee Brice and Florida Georgia Line. During his show he announced that he might have to leave as his wife, Lauren, was due to give birth at anytime to their second child. They have one other child that they adopted in May of 2017.
The U.S. Navy Leap Frogs Seal Team made an aerial appearance during the break between the bands. As Queen’s “We Will Rock You” started to play out over the loud speakers, the Leap Frogs jumped from their plane with sparks flying off their feet creating a spectacular effect allowing the audience to see them and their parachutes. The roar from the audience made the excitement of the event truly palatable. Cheyenne Frontier Days were truly grateful for their appearance as one of their team members, Special Warfare Operator 1st Class, Remington J. Peters of Grand Junction, Colorado passed away during a Memorial Day demonstration in New Jersey.
Dan + Shay are a country and western music duo. In December of 2012, they met in Nashville and started writing songs together the next day. They have had 3 number 1 chart toppers with the latest being, “How Not To”. They sure have come a long way in such a short time span.
